About Lunigiana

Lunigiana is an area in the north of Tuscany, and my studio is located in a position with a spectacular backdrop of the Appenine mountains to the east the Alpi Apuani to the south and a sweeping view of the Magra valley with the Ligurian hills behind it to the west. I chose this part of Tuscany because of the variety of scenery, from mountains, to olive groves and vineyards, river scenes, small hilltop villages. The land is scattered with small medieval villages and many castles, mostly belonging to the Malaspina family. As an added bonus, the Gulf of Poets and Cinque Terre coastline is only 45 - 60 minutes drive away.
