Barry John Raybould is giving two plein air painting workshops in Tuscany this year in the countryside in and around Montepulciano and Chianciano, some of the most beautiful old hill towns in the heart of Tuscany. Montepulciano, one of the hilltowns we will be painting on this workshop, is famous for its Vino Nobile wine as well as the wonderful Renaissance buildings and squares. Chianciano, where the Tuscany painting workshop is based, has got two separate identities. the spa town of Chianciano Terme, Tuscany, with parks and avenues, hotels and shops, and also the original core of the town - the centro storico (old town). In this plein air painting workshop in Tuscany there will be many panoramic views to paint from the old town, with the peaks of the Cetona and Amiata mountains of southern Tuscany in the distance; in the valley are the three lakes of Chiusi, Montepulciano and Trasimeno. On this plein air painting workshop in Tuscany you will be able to paint endless views of the Tuscan countryside with its vineyards, olive groves and the characteristic cypress trees.
